Typically, the R.E.A.C.H. (Recreation Enhances A Child’s Health) program provides before/after school care for six Bolingbrook elementary schools. Fall 2020, REACH is being offered as a 5-Day Option (Monday-Friday) from either 8:00 am-6:00 pm or 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
Participants of All-Day Care REACH will be supervised by Bolingbrook Park District REACH staff.
The 2020 REACH program will provide supervision for Valley View School District (VVSD) students or Bolingbrook Park District residents, grades K-5th, as they guide themselves through their daily e-learning requirements. Participants will be able to utilize the Bolingbrook Park District facilities for WIFI (as needed), use of the gymnasium, outdoor play areas, structured and unstructured table games, arts and crafts, and personal space/quiet time to relax, read and eat (during certain times or as needed).
The All-Day Care REACH follows the VVSD calendar and meets on all school days (including half-days). This program will not be available on days off of school, even scheduled holidays. If or when the VVSD student body are required to report to school “in-person,” this program will be provided as an after/before school care program with two options including 6:45-9:00 am or 3:00-6:00 pm at BJ Ward, Jonas Salk, Independence, Pioneer, Tibbott and Oak View.
Financial assistance is requested by completing the Financial Assistance Application, Resident ID Form, Registration Form (All-Day REACH), plus proof of the public assistance program benefits listed above. You will be contacted within five business days to know if you have been awarded a 25% discount per registration.
