This program helps children feel secure and confident as they separate from grown-ups and begin learning within a group setting. Through playful, developmentally appropriate activities, children build:

Ages 18 years & up
Both competitive and recreational leagues for volleyball players of all skill levels. Enjoy friendly competition, exercise and a night of socializing with your team. Each league will play a 12-game season and conclude with a single elimination playoff. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top teams. For more information, please contact (630) 783-6533. In this class, students will gain confidence and develop theatre skills. Students will learn a broad range of Theatre skills including acting, singing, improv and character development in this 10 week class. Students will have a chance to connect, socialize and create with others as they explore and learn about Theatre.

Be a part of the “Outstanding Program of the Year” awarded by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association! Power Dance takes place right after school. Never danced before? No problem! We accept and train all levels. This program is very athletic, using the basic fundamentals of dance with the latest dance moves and styles. Students will learn new and creative ways to express their emotion and transform their energy into a creative outlet.

Does your child love to perform? This is the class to sign up for! Actors will rehearse and perform their own production of Alice in Christmas Land. They will explore characters, theater vocabulary, voice and movement. This is a great class for the beginning actors as well as the experienced actors who want to build performance skills and confidence on stage. Actors will receive a script and show t-shirt included in registration costs. Come see what the BPD Theater Company is all about!
Show Summary: Everyone is getting ready for Christmas; the Mad Hatter has a silly tree decorating party and the Cheshire Cat can’t understand why her stripes are green and red. Without an ounce of holiday spirit, the Queen of Hearts says: “Off with their heads!” But Alice knows the heart is most important symbol of all. And what is Christmas and Holiday spirit all about anyway? Love and kindness. At last, Alice convinces the Queen that if she uses her heart, she will be the greatest Queen of all!

These sections include adjusted dates and prorated fees to accommodate Bolingbrook Pelicans athletes who are also competing on their local IHSA swim teams. Participants will join the 13+ age group practice schedule and are only eligible to attend practices and competition meets when their IHSA team is not in season. Confidence is a major focus in our classes, as we guide each child to achieve their greatest individual potential. Development of strength, balance, coordination and flexibility are built into every lesson. We offer a safe, fun, clean atmosphere with complete viewing for our parents. Preschool One is for children who are new to gymnastics and is commonly repeated. Preschool Two classes are recommended by an instructor. Please make sure that children are potty trained and out of diapers. Parents must stay during the entire class for emergency or bathroom purposes.
Children will learn skills on vault, uneven bars, beam, and floor in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Children will spend a small portion of class time conditioning and strengthening the appropriate muscles to help improve their gymnastics skills. Children who are new to gymnastics should enroll in a Developmental I class. Former students should enroll in the class level instructed by their coach on their class recommendation sheet. Participants may be asked to transfer to the appropriate level class.
Suggested Gymnastics Attire
Please wear a leotard or comfortable pants/shorts. No jeans, jean shorts, or any other type of clothing with buttons or buckles which could be harmful to your child or the equipment. We require long hair to be tied back and out of face. No shoes, earrings, bracelets or necklaces are allowed. Socks are optional, but not recommended for medium/high beam.

Beginning Tumbling is a fast-paced class that develops coordination, strength, flexibility, balance, and self-confidence. Beginning Tumbling is for children that are new to tumbling. Good form and positions will be learned at this level. Beginning tumblers will learn the following skills: forward and backward tuck and straddle rolls, lunge to handstand, cartwheel and round offs.
This is the second level of Preschool Gymnastics for children who have leveled out of Preschool One. Recommendation from the coach is required. This class will build on the skills learned in previously with more focus on technique, form, and muscle control. Development of strength, balance, coordination and flexibility are built into every lesson. Please make sure that children are potty-trained and out of diapers. Classes are taught in a fun yet focused manner, encouraging students to achieve higher-level skills. Coaches recommendation is required.

Does your child need more preschool time? Extended your child’s day with these programs. Children who fit the age range can participate in multiple programs on the same day. Early Drop Off, Lunch Bunch and Lunch Bunch Plus are exclusively for children enrolled in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool Program and sessions follow the Preschool 2026-2027 School Calendar.
Parent Notes:
* Children should bring food or snack items and water bottle in an insulated lunch box or bag. Label your child’s food containers and include any utensils or napkins that your child may need. Please send foods that your child can open independently.
* Please do not send food that contains nuts of any kind.
* Carbonated drinks or fast food meals are not appropriate for this program.
* There is no curbside pick-up or drop-off for these programs.
* Children enrolled in Early Drop Off should be walked into the building and dropped off to the Early Drop Off teacher between 8:30 am and 8:45 am.

Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing, passive practice designed to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote physical/mental healing by holding gentle, supported poses for 5-20 minutes. Utilizing props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, it allows for total surrender and comfort, making it suitable for all.

In an organized, yet playful structure, this parent and tot class is the perfect way to socialize your child, allow them to learn and understand what it means to follow instruction, and of course, get them moving! In this five week crochet along we will be exploring several different cable techniques involved in creating the made-to-measure Flowers and Cables Cardigan. Due to differing styles, sizes and aesthetics, attendees will need to supply some materials for later in the class. Babies swim lessons are designed for students between the ages of 3 months and 2 years old. Classes will work through a level-based curriculum with foundations in child development theories in large groups. For safety and comfort, every participant must be accompanied by one caregiver at least 18 years old and every non-potty trained participant must wear a swim diaper and lined swimsuit.
Introduce your young dancer to the basics of tap, ballet and jazz. This class is perfect for the beginner, allowing her/him to explore different dance disciplines while learning basic techniques. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This class is an excellent way for children to be introduced to the many benefits of the performing arts.

Pre-Ballet is the perfect class for this age with stronger emphasis on ballet technique. This class includes a thorough warm up, proper stretching, and the continuous development of the basics of ballet. There is no pre-requesite for this class.

Develop poise, grace, and confidence! Level I will introduce and reinforce the basic fundamentals. Advancement to higher levels of training will require teacher recommendation and are based upon the mastering of skills necessary to advance. Staying consistent in training throughout the year is the key to moving up through the levels. Previous Ballet experience recommended.
