It is a great way to prepare your child for high school gymnastics within the park district or at their high school. Intermediate Tumbling will provide new challenges for our students once they have mastered the basics and encourage them to advance beyond beginning tumbling. Tumbling skills introduced will include handstand forward rolls, round offs, back walkovers, back handspring shaping drills, and back handsprings. Classes are taught in a fun yet focused manner, encouraging students to achieve higher-level skills. Coaches recommendation is required.

Advanced Tumbling will provide new challenges for our participants once they have mastered the basics and encourage them to advance beyond intermediate tumbling. Participants will continue to increase strength, flexibility, and body control. Tumbling skills will include round off back handsprings, front handsprings, back tuck, front tucks, and more. Coaches’ recommendations are required.

Is your toddler climbing on everything they can reach and never seem to be out of energy? This is a parent participatory class where our instructors will guide you and your child through introductory gymnastics skills each week using small bars, floor beams, tiny springboards, an array of skill blocks and octagons as well as our inflatable Air Trak. They will develop their balance, gross motor skills, hand, foot & eye coordination, as well as increase their strength, flexibility, social skills, and confidence.

Pre-Developmental is a one-hour class designed for our 5-year-old kindergartners who are in school all day! This class will follow the Developmental I format. Children will learn skills on vault, uneven bars, beam, and floor in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Children will spend a small portion of class time conditioning and strengthening the appropriate muscles to help improve their gymnastics skills.

This new class is for adults who want to try something new or former gymnasts who want to challenge themselves. Improve your strength, flexibility, body awareness and master some fundamental gymnastics tumbling skills.
