Bolingbrook Park District uses the Perry Weather technology to report the weather at Pelican Harbor Indoor/Outdoor Aquatic Park.
The system provides visitors the opportunity to view the temperature, “feels like” reading and forecasted rain. You can see those details below.
At Pelican Harbor, all patrons must evacuate all pools for 30 minutes when lightning is detected 10 miles from the facility. When the Perry Weather system detects lightning, a countdown will show below detailing how much time is left on the “30 minute” lightning clearing clock. This will allow patrons to see how much time is left before they enter the pools again. With each new lighting strike, the clock will reset. Once the 30 minutes has subsided without additional lightning, all patrons are able to get back in the water.
