Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex is available for open pickleball play on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-10:30 am. Please wear gym shoes. Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Nets will be provided with limited supply of paddles and balls.
In this five week course you’ll learn the basic stitches, concepts, and components of crochet and pattern reading. We will go over all the how-tos and whatnots you need to know to wrangle this hobby! We’ll go over chain stitches, single, and half-double crochet stitches; when and how to use magic rings and slipknots; how to decipher pattern abbreviations and yarn wrapper information; and several ways to seam a square. All materials and gadgets will be supplied on the first day of class to use in class. *Disclosure – Instructor cannot guarantee you will walk away with a finished item; everyone learns at their own pace and that’s okay.
Take an afternoon and create a unique ceramic piece. You will use various glazes and learn new techniques, while enjoying a fun afternoon. All supplies will be furnished. Plate pieces will be fired after class and will be available for pick-up the following week at BRAC.

Bring your old pumpkin to shoot with arrows, then we’ll clean up the mess! Beginner session includes 30 minutes of instruction. All participants will have a chance to win a small raffle prize. Participants must have passed the Beginner Archery class to register for the Intermediate session, or contact for approval. All children must have a guardian present.
ISKC’s karate classes offers a good mix of strength training with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Students increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. They also benefit from the mental stimulation of learning the choreographed moves of the kata and discipline of conforming to the class rules. Uniforms, equipment and belt testing are optional for an additional fee through the class instructor. Youth and Adult classes train together. Fees are per person.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland’s premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion and President of the American Shotokan Karate Association.
Modern Arnis is a weapon based Filipino martial art style founded by Grandmaster Remy Presas. Modern Arnis emphasizes the use of sticks, knives and empty hand techniques. It also incorporates other martial arts such as Small-Circle Jujitsu to create a unique self-defense system based on body mechanics, fluidity, and functionality. Filipino Martial Arts are showcased in Hollywood in TV shows such as Arrow and in Movies such as The Borne Identity.
The Museum of Science and Industry’s annual celebration features a four-story, floor-to-dome Grand Tree, surrounded by a forest of more than 50 trees and displays decorated to represent holiday traditions from around the globe. Lunch is on your own at the museum, please contact for ADA assistance.
Put on your dancing shoes for a lunchtime tribute band show at Starved Rock Lodge’s Great Hall! Rosie & the Rivets features high-energy music from the 1950’s and early 60’s, along with some current hits with a retro twist. Lunch will be served during the 3-hour performance.

Both competitive and recreational leagues for volleyball players of all skill levels. Enjoy friendly competition, exercise and a night of socializing with your team. This new class is for adults who want to try something new or former gymnasts who want to challenge themselves. Improve your strength, flexibility, body awareness and master some fundamental gymnastics tumbling skills.
It is never too late to learn to be graceful! Improve your flexibility, poise and posture. Relieve stress, burn calories and have fun at the same time through this peaceful and relaxing dance style. Beginning levels of dance will be taught during this class and will include a technical warm up, barre work and center work with combinations, all specific and appropriate to the level of training.

In this five week session, learn and practice the basic techniques of one of the most popular dances, Chicago Style Stepping. Basic steps and combinations, floor etiquette, turns and partnering will be covered in this 2-hour class
Are you ready to take the next step in your ballet training? In Pre-Pointe you will do exercises and training to prepare yourself to go onto pointe. Previous ballet experience and enrollment in our Intermediate Ballet class is required to participate in this class.

Stretch and become limber as you body develops the tools that are needed to become a stronger you. Correctly learn how to become limber. Learn to relax and breathe correctly. In one hour of active stretching you will burn between 240-356 calories. You will go through a series of floor and dance barre stretches to assist you in reaching any goals you may have.

Comfortable workout clothing and gym shoes or socked feet, and please bring a yoga mat.
Contemporary dance is an upbeat style of dance that involves aspects of movement from several different genres such as jazz, modern, and ballet. During this class express yourself through music, movement, and emotions. We will focus on how the body moves through space, musical exploration, and directional focus.
Attire: workout attire, dance attire, or a combination of both. Socks, lyrical shoes, or barefoot.
