Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex is available for open pickleball play on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-10:30 am. Please wear gym shoes. Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Nets will be provided with limited supply of paddles and balls.
In this five week course you’ll learn the basic stitches, concepts, and components of crochet and pattern reading. We will go over all the how-tos and whatnots you need to know to wrangle this hobby! We’ll go over chain stitches, single, and half-double crochet stitches; when and how to use magic rings and slipknots; how to decipher pattern abbreviations and yarn wrapper information; and several ways to seam a square. All materials and gadgets will be supplied on the first day of class to use in class. *Disclosure – Instructor cannot guarantee you will walk away with a finished item; everyone learns at their own pace and that’s okay.
Take an afternoon and create a unique ceramic piece. You will use various glazes and learn new techniques, while enjoying a fun afternoon. All supplies will be furnished. Pieces will be fired after class and will be available for pickup the following week at BRAC.

Over the course of three weeks, learn the basics of archery, including parts of the equipment and range, proper stance, and how to aim! Archery improves muscle tone, focus and confidence as we work on hitting the target consistently. Participants are provided with Genesis compound bows during instruction. Learn how to canoe and then practice exploring the pond at BRAC. Fee is per canoe, which can hold 2-3 people each. All participants under 16 must have an adult guardian in their canoe. Life jackets and instruction included, please dress for the weather.

Bring your old pumpkin to shoot with arrows, then we’ll clean up the mess! Beginner session includes 30 minutes of instruction. All participants will have a chance to win a small raffle prize. Showcase your archery skills in a series of four events. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, the winner for each age bracket will also receive a small trophy. ISKC’s karate classes offers a good mix of strength training with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Students increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. They also benefit from the mental stimulation of learning the choreographed moves of the kata and discipline of conforming to the class rules. Uniforms, equipment and belt testing are optional for an additional fee through the class instructor. Youth and Adult classes train together. Fees are per person.

Modern Arnis is a weapon based Filipino martial art style founded by Grandmaster Remy Presas. Modern Arnis emphasizes the use of sticks, knives and empty hand techniques. It also incorporates other martial arts such as Small-Circle Jujitsu to create a unique self-defense system based on body mechanics, fluidity, and functionality. Filipino Martial Arts are showcased in Hollywood in TV shows such as Arrow and in Movies such as The Borne Identity.
New–Tae Kwon Do program instructed by Grandmaster H. Thomas Cameron. He is an 8th degree black belt with 47 years of experience. He was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the 2018 Grandmaster of the year and has recently been included in the book The Worlds Greatest Living Martial Artists. Students will learn self-defense as well as improving each students self-confidence, discipline, coordination, physical and mental capabilities. Testing fee is $60 and includes the belt and materials. Please wear athletic clothes, no jeans.

Become more limber as your body develops the tools that is needed to become a stronger you. This class is a great way to correctly learn how to safely become limber. Learn to relax, breathe correctly, and enjoy your time in class. In this one hour of active stretching you will burn between 240-356 calories. You will go through a series of floor and dance barre stretches to assist you in reaching any goals you may have.

Contemporary dance is an upbeat style of dance that involves aspects of movement from several different genres such as jazz, modern, and ballet. During this class express yourself through music, movement, and emotions. We will focus on how the body moves through space, musical exploration, and directional focus.
