Continue your skills from the Beginner Crochet class. Please bring all materials and gadgets you received in the beginner crochet class. *Disclosure – Instructor cannot guarantee you will walk away with a finished item; everyone learns at their own pace and that’s okay.
Take an afternoon and create a unique ceramic piece. You will use various glazes and learn new techniques, while enjoying a fun afternoon. All supplies will be furnished. Pieces will be fired after class and will be available for pickup the following week at BRAC.

While the tricks may appear difficult, you will discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn age-appropriate tricks. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session.

Students work as civil engineers and city planners to design and create a structured city that includes roads, bridges, and city zones containing housing, stores, libraries, schools and more. Minecraft Java Edition is used in the classroom as the tool for hands-on learning. We inspire future Engineers using Minecraft. Students should be familiar with using a computer, mouse and Minecraft
The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive, repeatable after school program where children learn to design, build and program robots, using LEGO Education robotics. Using Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class is led by teacher-led instruction followed by fun, engaging and dynamic activities. Students are introduced to basic robotics and mechanical engineering concepts by building and coding a different project each week. Independent building challenges will be given to students as they progress through levels. The Robotics Academy is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience. Students move up a level each time they take the class in order to take on more advanced concepts and activities.

The Mechanical Engineering Academy is a comprehensive program where children learn and build projects based on mechanical engineering concepts. Models such as a powered cars, cranes, and windmills are examples of engaging and dynamic activities based on the LEGO Education Simple & Powered Machines engineering curriculum.
Microbit is a pocket-sized micro-computer board that introduces you to how software and hardware work together. This small device has an LED light display, buttons, speaker, microphone, sensors and many input/output features that, when programmed, let it interact with you and your world. In this class, students will learn about the hardware features, how to program the Microbit and create projects such as an alarm system, thermometer, compass, sound machine and more. Microbit is a fun and easy way to get started in electrical engineering.
Robotics, Engineering, and coding all in one camp. Each day students will work on a STEM activity, including building and programming with LEGO robotics, LEGO mechanical engineering projects, and programming animations and games on computers. This is a great way to explore everything.

Over the course of three weeks, learn the basics of archery, including parts of the equipment and range, proper stance, and how to aim! Archery improves muscle tone, focus and confidence as we work on hitting the target consistently. Participants are provided with Genesis compound bows during instruction. Children and adults alike are welcome to sign up.
Do you know the basics of archery but need help hitting the bullseye? Join our archery instructor to improve your stance, muscle tone and aim to finally get that perfect shot! You can bring your own bow or use one of our Genesis compound bows. Children and adults are welcome to sign up. Must have passed the Beginner Archery class or contact the instructor for special admittance.
Learn how to canoe and then practice exploring the pond at BRAC. Fee is per canoe, which can hold 2-3 people each. All participants under 16 must have an adult guardian in their canoe. Life jackets and instruction included, please dress for the weather.

Bring your old pumpkin to shoot with arrows, then we’ll clean up the mess! Beginner session includes 30 minutes of instruction. All participants will have a chance to win a small raffle prize. Participants must have passed the Beginner Archery class to register for the Intermediate session, or contact for approval. All children must have a guardian present.
Drop the kids off to decorate a small (real) pumpkin during this themed party! No carving required to have a good time. Activities will also include story-time, music and games. This program coincides with the program Pumpkin Carving for “Big
Kids” (page 13).

Welcome to the most popular sport in the world! Soccer is great exercise that improves cardiovascular health, increases coordination, improves strength, and enhances flexibility. Additional focus on teamwork to achieve goals. Participants will learn the game of soccer through drills and scrimmages including dribbling, trapping, throw ins, shooting, passing, positioning, rules of soccer, sportsmanship & fun!
T-ball is a great sport to develop socialization skills and coordination. T-ball helps gain greater balance and control which improves player’s overall skill. Participants will learn the fundamentals of t-ball through drills and games including: how to properly hit, throw, catch, run bases, rules of t-ball, sportsmanship & fun!
Participants will learn the fundamentals of baseball and softball through drills and games including: base running, fielding, hitting, throwing, catching, and sportsmanship.
Touchdown! Are you looking for a safe program for your player to learn football? Skill progression continues while promoting physical health. Participants will learn the fundamentals of football through drills and games including catching, passing, offensive and defensive positioning, sportsmanship & fun!
Is hockey played on a floor at competitive levels? Does it even matter…. This class is extremely fun and participants learn the fundamentals of hockey. This is a great opportunity to see if your child loves hockey before making that lifelong commitment. Participants will learn floor hockey through drills and games including passing, scoring, shooting, puck handling, offense/defense positions, sportsmanship & fun!
Want to learn the basics and fundamentals of volleyball beyond just gym volleyball? Join us as we teach the “fun”damentals and foundation of being a future volleyball player. Calling all 5th-8th graders that want to learn from some of the best coaches. Join us, as we make learning fun!

Have the basics of volleyball down and need some additional coaching and training to accelerate your skills for school or club? By learning advanced skills and strategies, players will develop in all aspects of the game. Please note that if you are registering for both days, times only show for one of the days. Thursday sessions focus on skills and training. Sunday sessions focus on game scenarios. This activity meets Sundays 3:15-4:45 pm and Thursdays 4:45-6:15 pm.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland’s premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale. Young children develop confidence, strength, and coordination skills through fun and creative classes. This program is specifically designed for growing minds and bodies to enhance memory and agility. Watch your child’s confidence blossom while learning karate and having a blast at the same time! Uniforms, equipment and belt testing are optional for an additional fee through the class instructor.
ISKCs Youth karate classes will put children in touch with their bodies and offers a good mix of strength training. Children increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. Classes help increase self-esteem, in addition to enhancing discipline and control.
