Bolingbrook Park District offers a variety of martial arts programs for all ages. Taught by certified instructors, you will improve self-confidence, discipline, coordination and cardio endurance. Classes start at just 4 years-old and are available through adult-aged classes.

Types of Martial Arts offered at Bolingbrook Park District:

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland’s premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale. Develop confidence, strength, and coordination skills through fun and creative classes. This program is specifically designed for growing minds and bodies to enhance memory and agility. Watch your child’s confidence blossom while learning karate and having a blast at the same time! Uniforms, equipment and belt testing are optional for an additional fee through the class instructor.

ISKC’s Youth karate classes will put children in touch with their bodies and offers a good mix of strength training. Increase coordination, agility and poise, and learn lasting personal safety skills. Classes help increase self-esteem, in addition to enhancing discipline and control. Uniforms, equipment and belt testing are optional for an additional fee through the class instructor. Please note that the Youth, Parent/Child and Adult classes may train together.

New–Tae Kwon Do program instructed by Grandmaster H. Thomas Cameron. He is an 8th degree black belt with 47 years of experience. He was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the 2018 Grandmaster of the year and has recently been included in the book The Worlds Greatest Living Martial Artists. Students will learn self-defense as well as improving each students self-confidence, discipline, coordination, physical and mental capabilities. Testing fee is $60 and includes the belt and materials. Please wear athletic clothes, no jeans.

Our classes will provide a safe (and fun!) environment where students will learn the most effective styles of modern mixed martial arts, infused with lessons on character development. We incorporate boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and jiu-jitsu in our structured curriculum. Every class begins and finishes with a “Mat Chat”, a personal development topic such as focus, confidence, discipline, bully-awareness ect.
