Pre-Ballet is the perfect class for this age, both mentally and physically. Class includes a thorough warm-up, proper stretching and the continuous development of the basics of ballet. There is no pre-requisite for this class.

This fun and upbeat class inspires creativity and teaches the fundamentals of hip hop. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This class is an excellent way for children to be introduced to the many benefits of the performing arts.

Our littlest dancers will have a blast dancing to some of the most fun and kid-friendly Broadway smash hits. The experience will be enhanced by the use of props to help to gain coordination and develop motor skills. Get ready to be dazzled by your Broadway bound dancer.

Children, along with their parents are introduced to the world of dance through activities that encourage expression, music appreciation, and creative fun. Create a special bond with your child. THIS IS NOT A RECITAL CLASS.

The grace of ballet and flexibility of tumbling come together in this energetic class. Basic skills will be taught using engaging props in a fun and interactive environment.

This class will introduce the basics of classic tap dance to help build a great foundation to move into our youth level tap classes. Participants will learn and understand rhythm, percussion, stylized movement, and build up their tap skills to a new level.

This class is perfect for the beginner, allowing her/him to explore different dance disciplines while learning basic techniques. The benefits of dance include enhanced self-esteem, improved coordination, and most of all, fun! Join us as we learn to plie’, jete’ and shuffle off to buffalo.

This class serves as an introduction to hip hop dance. This class focuses on rhythm, musicality, creativity, coordination, body awareness, and basic hip hop technique. It is a great way to get kids moving and introduce them to the many benefits of the performing arts.

Develop poise, grace, and confidence. This beginning ballet class will introduce and reinforce the basic fundamentals of ballet.

Are you looking for a fun variety for your tiny dancer? Something that will have them excited about learning the basics of dance? Our Snack and Dance Class offers a unique opportunity for preschool age kids to continue learning in a class setting. After a quick snack (provided), your dancer will enjoy using songs, props, and much more to get their body moving.
THIS IS NOT A RECITAL CLASS.
Children enrolled in morning or afternoon preschool at the ACC will be escorted to or from preschool
or Snack and Dance. Children must be dropped off inside facility if attending preschool in the afternoon or picked-up inside facility if attended morning preschool. There is no curbside pick-up or drop off for this program. Snack and Dance is not included as a part of Preschool registration and enrollment in Preschool is not required to participate in Snack and Dance.
Attire:
Comfortable clothes that you can move around in (no jeans) & socks/gym shoes or ballet shoes

Develop poise, grace, and confidence! Level I will introduce and reinforce the basic fundamentals of Ballet. Advancement to higher levels of training will require teacher recommendation and are based upon the mastering the skills necessary to advance. Staying consistent in training throughout the year is the key to moving up through the levels.
Previous ballet experience recommended.

Hip Hop dance incorporates a variety of old and new urban, street, and pop dance styles. This class is a fun, fast paced and high energy class that focuses on rhythmic dancing, cardio, and may include floor work. Hip hop is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance, and coordination.

Girls – fitted shirt, shorts/leggings, gym shoes
Boys – fitted shirt, shorts/sweatpants, gym shoes

Jazz dance utilizes the technique of ballet with a stylized and contemporary approach. Dance fundamentals are developed and mastered in the Jazz I class, and these basic techniques are applied to more difficult work and combinations in higher levels, accordingly. The prerequisite for Jazz 1 is Intro to Jazz. Advancement to higher levels of training will require teacher recommendation and are based upon the mastering the skills necessary to advance.
*Previous ballet, jazz or lyrical dance experience recommended.

Ballet and jazz come to life in this expressive style. Lyrical is diverse, ranging from fluent, balletic movements to stylized jazz.

Move through basic tap techniques and exercises while developing coordination and rhythm..

This class works on embellishing the acrobatic elements used on the dance stage. Enhance your back and leg flexibility while strengthening the muscle groups used to execute impressive tricks seen on television and stages worldwide.
*Previous gymnastics, tumbling, or acro dance experience recommended.

This is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. Classes incorporate the style of dance one would typically see on a Broadway stage. This form of dancing emphasizes learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and facial expressions.

Boys – fitted shirt, shorts/sweatpants, Jazz shoes

This class is an excellent introduction to many different styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Students will gain a foundation and exposure to various styles of dance, keeping them excited, interested, and focused.

Leaps and Turns is a technique based class, where dancers will work towards perfecting different leaps, jumps, and turn combinations. Dancers will also work on proper alignment, strength and flexibility.

Throughout this one week, half day, camp campers will learn basic dance technique, play games, and make crafts related to the theme for the week. Campers will receive a Dance Camp t-shirt also learn a dance combination. On Fridays, campers will get to spend the day swimming at Pelican Harbor (weather permitting).

If campers are also enrolled in Camp Alotta Fun they will be walked over following dance camp unless it is a field trip day.

It’s never too late to learn to be graceful. Improve your flexibility, poise and posture. Relieve stress, burn calories and have fun at the same time through this peaceful and relaxing dance style. Beginning and continuing levels of dance will be taught during this class and will include a technical warm up, barre work and center work with combinations, all specific and appropriate to the level of training.

Looking for something new to try? Pop and lock it as you learn fun and upbeat dance moves. Work up a sweat as our instructor guides you through hip hop technique and styles.

In five week sessions, learn and practice the basic techniques of one of the most popular dances, Chicago-Style Stepping. It’s a great, feel-good work out, and a chance to have fun at the same time. Basic steps and combinations, floor etiquette, turns and partnering will be covered in this 2-hour class in a festive atmosphere. This is the perfect way to get ready for those high school reunions and weddings or simply build your confidence on the dance floor. Best of all it’s a chance to just enjoy a fun time with others.
