Board of Commissioners
Bolingbrook Park District Board of Commissioners is made up of a 5-member volunteer board. Commissioners serve 4-year terms and are elected in the consolidated election in staggered years.
Three commissioners are elected in one consolidated election and the other two commissioners are elected in the following consolidated election (two years later).
Each member of the Board of Commissioners must be a citizen of the United States, a resident and registered voter in Bolingbrook. Residency must be established for a minimum of one year.
Park Board Commissioners set the policies that guide the Park District. Commissioners are expected to review the agenda and supporting materials before meetings and attend all Board meetings and functions; understand Bolingbrook Park District’s Mission, Vision, Policies, as well as Federal and State statutes. Board members receive no compensation for their time.
During the consolidated election period, application packets may be picked up at the Annerino Community Center, 201 Recreation Drive, Bolingbrook. This election packet pick-up period usually starts in September and ends with packet submittals for one week in mid-December.
