Does your child love to perform? This is the class to sign up for! Actors will rehearse and perform their own production of A Snow-White Christmas. They will explore characters, theater vocabulary, voice and movement. This is a great class for the beginning actors as well as the experienced actors who want to build performance skills and confidence on stage. Show Summary: Santa has a message, the Wicked Queen hates Christmas and is plotting against Snow White because she brings the lovely winter snow. Seeking safety from the Wicked Queen, Snow White finds shelter with seven Christmas elves. All is well until Snow White is tricked into taking a bite of a poisoned apple and falls asleep. Just in the nick of time, Prince Charming awakens Snow White with “love’s first kiss”, allowing snow to fall and Christmas to return to the forest.

Beginner classes are designed for participants with minimal to no formal swimming experience, or who may be working to overcome a fear of the water. Classes will focus on building up your confidence and comfort in the water while practicing water safety skills. These skills include air exchange/breathing, floating, treading, and the foundations of the strokes.
Intermediate classes are designed for participants who are comfortable in the water and have experience with the foundational swimming skills (air exchange, floating, kicking, streamline). Classes will focus on the strokes, improving your technique and endurance.

This class serves as an introduction to hip hop dance for our younger dancers. Children will spend a small portion of class time conditioning and strengthening the appropriate muscles to help improve their gymnastics skills.

Playing soccer promotes cardiovascular health, builds strength, flexibility, endurance, team work, social interaction, and gross motor development. Pre-Ballet is the perfect class for this age with stronger emphasis on ballet technique. This class includes a thorough warm up, proper stretching, and the continuous development of the basics of ballet. There is no pre-requesite for this class.

Whether you’re starting your swim journey, or looking to refine advanced techniques, our private lessons will empower participants to meet their own personal swimming goals, while building a strong foundation of water safety skills. All instructors are certified through Starfish Aquatics Institute.
Build on your confidence and dance technique as you explore the world of musical theater dance. This is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. Classes incorporate the style of dance one would typically see on a Broadway stage. This class emphasizes performance skills such as connecting with the audience and facial expressions.
Attire:
Girls-fitted shirt, shorts or leggings, jazz shoes
Boys-fitted shirt, shorts or sweatpants, jazz shoes
It is never too late to learn to swim!
Beginner classes are designed for participants with minimal to no formal swimming experience, or who may be working to overcome a fear of the water. Classes will focus on building up your confidence and comfort in the water while practicing water safety skills. These skills include air exchange/breathing, floating, treading, and the foundations of the strokes.
Intermediate classes are designed for participants who are comfortable in the water and have experience with the foundational swimming skills (air exchange, floating, kicking, streamline). Classes will focus on the strokes, improving your technique and endurance.
Hip Hop dance incorporates a variety of old and new urban, street, and pop dance styles. This dance style represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of the music. This class is a fun, fast paced and high energy class that focuses on rhythmic dancing, cardio, and may include floor work. Hip hop dance is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance, and coordination.

Be a part of the “Outstanding Program of the Year” awarded by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association! Power Dance takes place right after school. Never danced before? No problem! We accept and train all levels. This program is very athletic, using the basic fundamentals of dance with the latest dance moves and styles.
Attire:
Comfortable clothing you can move around in & gym shoes or any dance shoes you own
Stretch and become limber as your body develops the tools that are needed to become a stronger you. Correctly learn how to become limber. Learn to relax and breathe correctly. In one hour of active stretching you will burn between 240-356 calories. You will go through a series of floor and dance barre stretches to assist you in reaching any goals you may have.
Attire:
Comfortable workout clothing and gym shoes or socked feet, and please bring a yoga mat.
This class offers the best of Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Obstacle Training, and Freestyle Movement combined into a brand new sport. Our focus will be on confidence, respect, listening, working towards goals, strength, agility, flexibility and creative energy. Each Lil Ninja is required to purchase a uniform package prior to the start of class which includes a t-shirt and headband. Lil Ninjas should wear their uniform consistently once it is received. The uniform can be purchased at www.bolingbrookparks.org/NinjaZone. Uniforms are non-refundable. Please make sure that children are potty-trained and out of diapers. Parents must stay during the entire class for emergency or bathroom purposes.
Are you looking for a fun variety for your tiny dancer? Something that will have them excited about learning the basics of dance? Our Snack and Dance Class offers a unique opportunity for preschool age kids to continue learning in a class setting. After a quick snack (provided), your dancer will enjoy using songs, props, and much more to get their body moving.
Children enrolled in morning or afternoon preschool at the ACC will be escorted to or from preschool
or Snack and Dance. Children must be dropped off inside facility if attending preschool in the afternoon or picked-up inside facility if attended morning preschool. There is no curbside pick-up or drop off for this program. Snack and Dance is not included as a part of Preschool registration and enrollment in Preschool is not required to participate in Snack and Dance.
Attire:
Comfortable clothes that you can move around in (no jeans) & socks/gym shoes or ballet shoes
Children will learn skills on vault, uneven bars, beam, and floor in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Children will spend a small portion of class time conditioning and strengthening the appropriate muscles to help improve their gymnastics skills. Children who are new to gymnastics should enroll in a Developmental I class. Former students should enroll in the class level instructed by their coach on their class recommendation sheet. Participants may be asked to transfer to the appropriate level class.
Suggested Gymnastics Attire
Please wear a leotard or comfortable pants/shorts. No jeans, jean shorts, or any other type of clothing with buttons or buckles which could be harmful to your child or the equipment. We require long hair to be tied back and out of face. No shoes, earrings, bracelets or necklaces are allowed. Socks are optional, but not recommended for medium/high beam.

Children will spend a small portion of class time conditioning and strengthening the appropriate muscles to help improve their gymnastics skills. Is your child close to moving up but bars are preventing them from doing that? This class will focus on the conditioning, drills and additional bar time that some gymnasts need to move to that next level.

Ages: High School (14-18)
These sections include adjusted dates and prorated fees to accommodate Bolingbrook Pelicans athletes who are also competing on their local IHSA swim teams. Participants will join the 13+ age group practice schedule and are only eligible to attend practices and competition meets when their IHSA team is not in season. Ages 3.5-5 years
Add extra learning into your child’s day while providing time to socialize and eat with friends. This hour of activity includes a 15 minute snack break (snack provided by park district) and 45 minutes of academic enrichment. All themes include practice time with pencils and scissors.
Parent Notes:
* Children do not have to be enrolled in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool to participate in Snack and Learn.
* Children in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool morning classes will be picked up from their classroom and escorted to the Snack and Learn classroom.
* Children enrolled in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool afternoon classes will be escorted to their preschool classroom in time for afternoon class.
* There is no curbside pick-up or drop-off for this program.
* Tuesday and Wednesday classes are taught in both Spanish and English.
