Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This Class is designed for advanced dancers with previous technical training. This class will build off of prior knowledge and ability to develop precision and accuracy of technical skills. Students will work on proper alignment, strength, flexibility, understanding body awareness and mobility to help improve their execution leaps, turns, jumps, and other dance skills/tricks. Class will incorporate drills, exercises, across the floor combinations, floor work and more to really train and develop further in technical skills and ability.

Semi-private lessons are ideal for students seeking more individualized attention, offering a more personalized and focused learning environment. Students will be in class with another student of similar skill level. All instructors are certified through Starfish Aquatics Institute.
Build on your confidence and dance technique as you explore the world of musical theater dance. This is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. Classes incorporate the style of dance one would typically see on a Broadway stage. This class emphasizes performance skills such as connecting with the audience and facial expressions.

It is never too late to learn to swim!
Beginner classes are designed for participants with minimal to no formal swimming experience, or who may be working to overcome a fear of the water. Classes will focus on building up your confidence and comfort in the water while practicing water safety skills. These skills include air exchange/breathing, floating, treading, and the foundations of the strokes.
Intermediate classes are designed for participants who are comfortable in the water and have experience with the foundational swimming skills (air exchange, floating, kicking, streamline). Classes will focus on the strokes, improving your technique and endurance.
Want to learn the basics and fundamentals of volleyball beyond just gym volleyball? Join us as we teach the “fun”damentals and foundation of being a future volleyball player. Calling all 5th-8th graders that want to learn from some of the best coaches. Join us, as we make learning fun!

Have the basics of volleyball down and need some additional coaching and training to accelerate your skills for school or club? Hit harder, set better, jump higher, pass and serve more consistently, block more efficiently by learning advanced strategies of the game. This activity meets Thursdays 4:45-6:15pm.

Does your child love to perform? This is the class to sign up for! Actors will rehearse and perform their own production of A Snow-White Christmas. They will explore characters, theater vocabulary, voice and movement. This is a great class for the beginning actors as well as the experienced actors who want to build performance skills and confidence on stage. Actors will receive a script and show t-shirt included in registration costs. Come see what the BPD Theater Company is all about!
Show Summary: Santa has a message, the Wicked Queen hates Christmas and is plotting against Snow White because she brings the lovely winter snow. Seeking safety from the Wicked Queen, Snow White finds shelter with seven Christmas elves. All is well until Snow White is tricked into taking a bite of a poisoned apple and falls asleep. Just in the nick of time, Prince Charming awakens Snow White with “love’s first kiss”, allowing snow to fall and Christmas to return to the forest.
*Auditions will take place in class on September 11. Audition materials will be emailed out to participants 1 week prior to the first class.
*Dress Rehearsals will take place December 15-19 and Performances will occur December 19-21
Looking for something new to try? Pop and lock it as you learn some fun and upbeat new dance moves. You’ll definitely work up a sweat as our instructor guides you through beginning and continuing levels of hip hop technique and styles.

Children along with their parents are introduced to the world of dance and movement through activities that encourage expression, music appreciation, and creative fun. Our instructors will guide you step by step through this process while you enjoy dancing with your child and creating a special bond!

Preschool Extended Day
Ages 3.5-5 years
Does your child need more preschool time? Extended your child’s day with these programs. Children who fit the age range can participate in multiple programs on the same day. Breakfast Buddies, Lunch Bunch and Lunch Bunch Plus are exclusively for children enrolled in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool Program and sessions follow the Preschool 2025-2026 School Calendar.
Parent Notes:
* Children should bring food or snack items and water bottle in an insulated lunch box or bag. Label your child’s food containers and include any utensils or napkins that your child may need. Please send foods that your child can open independently.
* Please do not send food that contains nuts of any kind.
* Carbonated drinks or fast-food meals are not appropriate for this program.
* There is no curbside pick-up or drop-off for these programs.
* Children enrolled in Breakfast Buddies should be brought into the building and dropped off to the Breakfast Buddies teacher between 8:15 am and 8:45 am.
* Only children enrolled in morning Preschool can participate in Breakfast Buddies.
* Children enrolled in Lunch Bunch or Lunch Bunch Plus will be escorted from their morning preschool classroom to the Lunch Bunch room. Children should be picked up from this room at the end of the program by an approved pick-up person.

In this five week session, learn and practice the basic techniques of one of the most popular dances, Chicago Style Stepping. Basic steps and combinations, floor etiquette, turns and partnering will be covered in this 2-hour class. This is the perfect way to get ready for those high school reunions and weddings or simply build your confidence on the dance floor. Best of all it’s a chance to just enjoy a fun time with others.
Formerly Swim School and Stroke School. Group swim lessons are an excellent place for new swimmers between the ages of 3 and 14 to learn and grow, from floating to the stroke techniques. In these classes, students will be in class with other students of the same or similar skill level. All instructors are certified through Starfish Aquatics Institute.
Ages 3 months – 2 years with adult
Babies swim lessons are designed for students between the ages of 3 months and 2 years old. Classes will work through a level-based curriculum with foundations in child development theories in large groups. For safety and comfort, every participant must be accompanied by one caregiver at least 18 years old and every non-potty trained participant must wear a swim diaper and lined swimsuit.
Ages 3 and up

Lessons will be individualized to the goals of the participant, and build a strong foundation in water safety and swimming skills. New–Tae Kwon Do program instructed by Grandmaster H. Thomas Cameron. He is an 8th degree black belt with 47 years of experience. He was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the 2018 Grandmaster of the year and has recently been included in the book The Worlds Greatest Living Martial Artists. Students will learn self-defense as well as improving each students self-confidence, discipline, coordination, physical and mental capabilities. Testing fee is $60 and includes the belt and materials. Please wear athletic clothes, no jeans.
