Ages 11-14 years
This is a monthly, hands-on class designed to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills through outdoor and adventure-based activities. Throughout the course, students will learn how to set goals, assess risks, reflect on experiences, and support others in achieving success. Whether navigating a trail or solving a group challenge, students will be encouraged to step outside their comfort zones and build confidence in themselves and their peers. In this session, students will engage and learn skills in:
1. Orienteering (1 hour – January 14)
2. Wilderness First Aid (1 hour – February 11)
3. Knot Tying and Rock Climbing (1.5 hours – March 11)
This class is ideal for students interested in leadership, physical activity, the outdoors, or anyone looking to challenge themselves in a supportive, team-oriented setting. No prior experience is necessary – Just a willingness to participate, try new things, and grow through adventure.
Treat your kids (and yourself) to a fun night out. Kids will enjoy an evening of toy play, arts and crafts, active party games and pizza. Each party will feature a different theme. Children can wear pajamas or play clothes. Cheese pizza and water will be served, please inform Christy Sorenson of any food allergies.
Drop the kids off for a playdate so you can take a few hours to yourself. Activities for the 4-7 age group will include a movie, crafting, and games. Activities for the 7-12 age group will include one hour at Pelican Harbor Indoor Aquatic Park and a movie. All children must be able to meet their own toileting needs and change their clothes without assistance. Please send your child with a water bottle and a lunchbox meal, as no concessions are available.
