Ages 8 and up
Join a Naturalist to learn the basics of animal osteology (the study of bones)! Discover how to read the clues of species, health and cause of death through hands-on observation paired with an osteology identification key. Featured specimens include real and replica animal skulls, some with evidence of physical trauma or disease. *Instruction is adapted for mixed ages. Registration is required for everyone in your group, including guardians.

Join us for our very first ever skateboard competition designed for all skill levels! Before the contest begins, participants can come out to practice or enjoy a 1-hour lesson led by an experienced instructor, covering the basics of balance, control, and simple tricks-perfect for beginners or anyone looking to sharpen their skills. After the lesson, riders will take part in a friendly competition where they can show off their skills. The focus is on creativity, effort, and having a great time, making it an encouraging environment for everyone-whether you’re stepping on a board for the first time or already comfortable landing tricks. Spectators are welcome to cheer on participants and enjoy the energy of the event as skaters take their turns showcasing style, confidence, and progression.

Prizes and recognition will be awarded across different skill levels, so every participant has a chance to shine. This course will teach children/tweens how to be safe when they are home alone. Topics covered will include:
* Fire prevention
* Water safety
* Internet safety
* “Stranger Danger” safety
* Electrical safety
This course does not include any certifications.

Ages 11-16 years
The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training with Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED – BL course prepares youth to care for children and infants safely and confidently. It includes hands-on activities videos and discussions to develop essential real-life readiness babysitting skills. The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children safety and emergency response. We want to prepare participants well for emergencies, but CPR can be physically demanding and participants should ideally weigh at least 85-90 pounds to participate. The First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning course includes an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-person training and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours to complete the online portion. Upon successful completion of both the online and in person portions of the course a valid 10-year Babysitter’s Training digital certification and a valid 2-year digital certificate for Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Certifications Included:
2 year CPR/First Aid cert
10 year Babysitting Certification

Ages 4-8
Drop the kids off for a play-date so you can knock out that holiday prep list. Activities will include a movie, a craft, games, and an hour at Pelican Harbor Indoor Aquatic Park for the older group. All children must be able to tend to their own toileting needs, and change clothes without assistance. Please send your child with a water bottle and a snack.
