Soon 2B3 Program
Children 2 1/2 – 3 years old have their first positive experiences in a preschool classroom and become comfortable separating from parents for a regular period of time. Development of social skills, large and small motor skills, and basic curriculum concepts are a part of your child’s day. Diapers and pull-ups are acceptable to begin with, but children should be on his or her way to taking care of their own toileting needs. This class runs 2 days per week.

In this program, 4 year olds strengthen relationships with friends and teachers and begin to understand responsibility as they become more self-sufficient. The curriculum focuses on emerging literacy, math, science, creative art and fine motor skills to prepare children for Kindergarten. The 4 days a week program is designed for children who are ready for additional time in the classroom. The 4th day includes additional in-depth exposure to pre-literacy, math, self-expression skills and class projects. These classes run 2 or 3 or 4 days per week.

Our time together includes free play, clean-up, and group time. Children will interact with age-appropriate toys, have sensory encounters, create both process and product-based art, and participate in music/movement activities. Our curriculum is planned using the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Age Three.
