Bolingbrook Park District has released designs of all five playgrounds that are set to be built this summer. Four of the five playgrounds are a result of the successful 2018 referendum ask and the other is from a successful grant application. Demolition has already began on four of the playgrounds, with an estimated completion date of July
The five playgrounds slated to be completed in 2021 are:
- Drafke Park (1125 Quail Run
- The Forest (1399 Carriage Ln.)
- Ivanhoe Park (190 Falconridge Way)
- Plimmer Park (401 Lily Cache Ln.)
- Century Park (1675 Apple Valley Dr.)
Century Park is the only playground not being renovated as result of the 2018 referendum ask. It is part of a larger project that is possible by being partially funded through an Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant. Other aspects of the project in includes:
- Basketball Courts
- Pickleball Courts
- Gazebo
- Improved Fishing Area
- Pond Edge Enhancements

Completion of the Century Park project is expected to be sometime this fall.
