BOLINGBROOK (February 20, 2026) – Bolingbrook Park District is excited to welcome Geno Bagnuolo as the newest member of the Bolingbrook Park District Board of Commissioners. Following a thorough application and interview process that drew strong community interest, Geno was selected from a highly qualified group of candidates to fill the vacancy left by Commissioner Sue Vastalo’s resignation. The Bolingbrook Park District Board of Commissioners officially appointed Bagnuolo at its February 19, 2026, meeting. His term will continue until the next election process in 2027.

“Geno brings an extensive array of professional and community volunteer experience to the board. His passion for the community and the Park District was evident throughout the process. His commitment to Bolingbrook Park District’s mission made him an excellent choice,” said Park Board President Jerry Hix. “We can’t wait for Geno to join the Board and help guide our continued commitment to provide world-class park and recreation services in a fiscally responsible manner to enhance the community’s quality of life.”

Bagnuolo was born and raised in Bolingbrook where he participated in many youth sports and Park District programming. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management and organizational leadership from Illinois State University. He also served two terms on the Illinois State University Board of Trustees. “I am excited to serve the community in this capacity. My years participating in recreation programming helped build a strong foundation for me. I am passionate about ensuring current and future families continue to have recreational opportunities for their children,” said Bagnuolo.

Bagnuolo is an Associate Director of Residential Services for Trinity Services, Inc. providing support and services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them flourish and lead full and abundant lives.  When he is not at work or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Carly Rae Bagnuolo, and their two dogs, Fitchett and Bowser.
