The Bolingbrook Illusions is an award-winning team that competes against other teams in the Midwest. We offer level 2-5 compulsory gymnastics and all levels of Xcel. These teams will follow routines and progressions for vault, uneven bars, beam and floor created by USAG. Competition takes place from January through May as part of the AAU; Gymnastics of Illinois Junior Organization (GIJO). It is a great way to prepare your child for high school gymnastics within the park district or at their high school. Testing is done late Spring and Early Fall and is required in order to enroll as a new member of the team.

Beginning Tumbling is a fast-paced class that develops coordination, strength, flexibility, balance, and self-confidence. Beginning Tumbling is for children that are new to tumbling. Good form and positions will be learned at this level. Beginning tumblers will learn the following skills: forward and backward tuck and straddle rolls, lunge to handstand, cartwheel and round offs.

This is the second level of Preschool Gymnastics for children who have leveled out of Preschool One. Recommendation from the coach is required. Intermediate Tumbling will provide new challenges for our students once they have mastered the basics and encourage them to advance beyond beginning tumbling. Tumbling skills introduced will include handstand forward rolls, round offs, back walkovers, back handspring shaping drills, and back handsprings. Classes are taught in a fun yet focused manner, encouraging students to achieve higher-level skills. Coaches recommendation is required.

Advanced Tumbling will provide new challenges for our participants once they have mastered the basics and encourage them to advance beyond intermediate tumbling. Participants will continue to increase strength, flexibility, and body control. Tumbling skills will include round off back handsprings, front handsprings, back tuck, front tucks, and more. Coaches’ recommendations are required.

Is your toddler climbing on everything they can reach and never seem to be out of energy? This is a parent participatory class where our instructors will guide you and your child through introductory gymnastics skills each week using small bars, floor beams, tiny springboards, an array of skill blocks and octagons as well as our inflatable Air Trak. They will develop their balance, gross motor skills, hand, foot & eye coordination, as well as increase their strength, flexibility, social skills, and confidence.

This is the second level of Preschool Gymnastics for children who have leveled out of Preschool One. Recommendation from the coach is required. This new class is for adults who want to try something new or former gymnasts who want to challenge themselves. Improve your strength, flexibility, body awareness and master some fundamental gymnastics tumbling skills.
