Soon 2B3 Program
Children 2 ½ – 3 years old have their first positive experiences in a preschool classroom and become comfortable separating from parents for a regular period of time. Development of social skills, large and small motor skills, and basic curriculum concepts are a part of your child’s day. Diapers and pull-ups are acceptable to begin with, but children should be on his or her way to taking care of their own toileting needs. This class runs 2 days per week.

The curriculum focuses on emerging literacy, math, science, writing, letters, sounds, sight words, creative art and fine motor skills to prepare children for Kindergarten.

4 Year Old Program

This class provides your child with opportunities to practice writing with pencils, using scissors, walking in a line, and sitting for a group time. In addition, social skills such as listening and following instructions will be given priority to help children transition easily into the upcoming school year. Looking for a longer class time, consider registering your child for Lunch Bunch.

Your child will enjoy this class involving chemistry experiments and physics investigations from our summertime world. Classes start indoor but because some experiments will bubble, fizz, or pop we will be spending time outdoors. Please have your child dress for the weather. Classes do not repeat, join us for one or both sessions. Children must be toilet trained and comfortable without an adult present.

Looking for a way for your child to have fun while you socialize with other parents? Young toddlers use their senses to learn about the world. Early Learners features developmentally- appropriate toys and activities to provide your child with many different sensory experiences. To allow for the enjoyment of all children enrolled, please leave siblings over the Ages of 17 months at home.

Age 18 months-3 years
Little Learners classes provide children with opportunities to socialize, overcome separation anxiety, and be creative, all while enjoying their first classroom experience. Time together includes play time, clean-up, and group time. Children will interact with Ages-appropriate toys, have sensory encounters, create both process and product-based art, and participate in music/movement activities. The curriculum is planned using the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Ages Three.

PARENT NOTES:
• Play can be messy, please dress your child in play clothes.
• Children do not have to be toilet trained for these classes.
• We request that you remain in the building during these classes.
• Little Learners 1 is with adult. Little Learners 2 is a transitional class, allowing for adult participation if needed. Little Learners 3 is child only. It is recommended that classes be taken in order, but children can be enrolled at any level that fits their Ages.
• All classes can be taken multiple times.
