Grandmaster H. Thomas Cameron is an 8th degree black belt with over 47 years of experience. He was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the 2018 Grandmaster of the year and has recently been included in the book “The World’s Greatest Living Martial Artists.” Students will learn self-defense as well as improving each student’s self-confidence, discipline, coordination, physical and mental capabilities. The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive program where children learn to design, build and program projects based on LEGO Education robotics. Using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class uses teacher-led instruction followed by fun, engaging, and dynamic activities. Students are introduced to basic robotics and mechanical engineering concepts by building and coding a different project each week. Creative challenges are given to students as they progress through levels. The Robotics Academy is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience. Students move up a level each time they take the class. A basic knowledge of using a computer is recommended.
It is never too late to learn to be graceful! Improve your flexibility, poise and posture. Relieve stress, burn calories and have fun at the same time through this peaceful and relaxing dance style. Beginning levels of dance will be taught during this class and will include a technical warm up, barre work and center work with combinations, all specific and appropriate to the level of training.

Beginning Tumbling is a fast-paced class that develops coordination, strength, flexibility, balance, and self-confidence. Beginning Tumbling is for children that are new to tumbling. Good form and positions will be learned at this level. Beginning tumblers will learn the following skills: forward and backward tuck and straddle rolls, lunge to handstand, cartwheel and round offs.
This fun and upbeat class inspires creativity and teaches the fundamentals of hip hop. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This class is an excellent way for children to be introduced to the many benefits of the performing arts.

Looking for something new to try? Pop and lock it as you learn some fun and upbeat new dance moves. You’ll definitely work up a sweat as our instructor guides you through beginning and continuing levels of hip hop technique and styles.

Stretch and become more limber as your body develops the tools that it needs to become stronger. This is a way to correctly learn how to train your body to become pliable safely. Learn to relax, breathe correctly, and enjoy your time in class. In this one hour of active stretching you will burn between 240-356 calories. You will go through a series of floor and dance barre stretches to assist you in reaching any goals you may have.

This is the season where we like to keep our body cozy and indulge our taste buds. Children can bring in their favorite blankets to enjoy a fun and engaging bilingual story. Your child will have fun and be comfortable while building positive bilingual literacy skills. Snack will be provided by Park District.
Are you looking for a fun variety for your tiny dancer? Something that will have them excited about learning the basics of dance? Our Snack and Dance Class offers a unique opportunity for preschool age kids to continue learning in a class setting. Jumps, hand motions, tumbling, stunting and a cheer will be taught, as well as the importance of teamwork. Clean gym shoes must be worn in this class and hair must be tied back neatly out of face. No jewelry allowed for safety reasons.

Is your toddler climbing on everything they can reach and never seem to be out of energy? This is a parent participatory class where our instructors will guide you and your child through introductory gymnastics skills each week using small bars, floor beams, tiny springboards, an array of skill blocks and octagons as well as our inflatable air trak. Treat your kids (and yourself) to a fun night out. Kids will enjoy an evening of toy play, arts and crafts, active party games and pizza. Each party will feature a different theme. Children can wear pajamas or play clothes. Cheese pizza will be served, please inform key program contact of any food allergies.
Reveal your inner artist by joining one or more of these ceramic workshops. Each workshop you will create a ceramic piece on bisque using various techniques and glaze products. Basic instructions will guide you through the project with options on each project. Using your vision and creativity you will customize your design and make it your own. Each workshop piece will be ready for firing that day. The piece will be ready for pickup in approximately a week. Fee will include bisque, color, instructions and firing. Little Learners classes provide children with opportunities to socialize, overcome separation anxiety and be creative all while enjoying their first classroom experience. Time together begins with open play followed by clean-up and ending with a group activity time. Children will interact with age-appropriate toys, have sensory encounters, create both process and product-based art and participate in music/movement activities. The curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Age Three.

Does your child love Minecraft? Imagine if children learn Civil Engineering and City Planning while they are in a Minecraft world. Students work as civil engineers and city planners to design and create a structured city that includes roads, bridges, and city zones containing housing, stores, libraries, schools and more. Minecraft Java Edition is used in the classroom as the tool for hands-on learning. We inspire future Engineers using Minecraft. Students should be familiar with using a computer, mouse and Minecraft.
It is never too late to learn to swim!
Beginner classes are designed for participants with minimal to no formal swimming experience, or who may be working to overcome a fear of the water. Classes will focus on building up your confidence and comfort in the water while practicing water safety skills. These skills include air exchange/breathing, floating, treading, and the foundations of the strokes.
Intermediate classes are designed for participants who are comfortable in the water and have experience with the foundational swimming skills (air exchange, floating, kicking, streamline). Classes will focus on the strokes, improving your technique and endurance. Participants do not need to complete a beginner class prior to registering for intermediate.
The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive program where children learn to design, build and program projects based on LEGO Education robotics. Using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class uses teacher-led instruction followed by fun, engaging, and dynamic activities. Students are introduced to basic robotics and mechanical engineering concepts by building and coding a different project each week. Creative challenges are given to students as they progress through levels. The Robotics Academy is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience. This class is a drop in, pay as you come and offers basic step by step instructions geared toward men and women of all ages. Belynda is an experienced, social and hands on instructor who will work with you at your own pace. Her unique techniques and style will motivate and energize you while you learn the latest new line dances. Come prepared to gain your confidence in line dancing while laughing out loud to music. Class will be located at the Annerino Community Center in the Martial Arts Room.
Little Learners classes provide children with opportunities to socialize, overcome separation anxiety and be creative all while enjoying their first classroom experience. Time together begins with open play followed by clean-up and ending with a group activity time. Children will interact with age-appropriate toys, have sensory encounters, create both process and product-based art and participate in music/movement activities. The curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Age Three.

* We request that you remain in the building during class time.

Ages 3.5-5 years
This is the season where we like to keep our body cozy and indulge our taste buds. Children can bring in their favorite blankets to enjoy a fun and engaging bilingual story. The story will be followed by incorporating an art craft, music, puppets, finger plays, scavenger hunts and even games. Your child will have fun and be comfortable while building positive bilingual literacy skills. Snack will be provided by Park District.
Treat your kids (and yourself) to a fun night out. Kids will enjoy an evening of toy play, arts and crafts, active party games and pizza. Each party will feature a different theme. Children can wear pajamas or play clothes. Cheese pizza will be served, please inform key program contact of any food allergies.
It is never too late to learn to swim!
Beginner classes are designed for participants with minimal to no formal swimming experience, or who may be working to overcome a fear of the water. Classes will focus on building up your confidence and comfort in the water while practicing water safety skills. These skills include air exchange/breathing, floating, treading, and the foundations of the strokes.
Intermediate classes are designed for participants who are comfortable in the water and have experience with the foundational swimming skills (air exchange, floating, kicking, streamline). Classes will focus on the strokes, improving your technique and endurance. Participants do not need to complete a beginner class prior to registering for intermediate.
Ages 18 years & up
Looking for a chance to knock the rust off and get ready for softball season? Teams will compete in a double elimination tournament. Cash prizes will be awarded (depending on the number of teams). No previous knowledge of Beach Volleyball is necessary. Classes will consist of teaching fundamentals of Beach Volleyball and then playing fun games and modified games using the fundamental principles of Beach Volleyball that were taught. New and returning students are welcome. Our focus is to take each individual student’s skills to the next level under the guidance of an experienced coach.
Ages 18 years & up
Get the team together play in the men’s 8 on 8 USFTL sanctioned flag football league. Each league will play a 9-game season and conclude with a single elimination playoff. In five week sessions, learn and practice the basic techniques of one of the most popular dances, Chicago-Style Stepping. It’s a great, feel-good work out, and a chance to have fun at the same time. Basic steps and combinations, floor etiquette, turns and partnering will be covered in this 2-hour class in a festive atmosphere. This is the perfect way to get ready for those high school reunions and weddings or simply build your confidence on the dance floor. Best of all it’s a chance to just enjoy a fun time with others.

Drop your child off for an exciting adventure exploring the wonders of local woodlands. Guided by our instructors, children will explore forest trails, discover living things in their natural habitats, and learn how everything in nature is connected. Outdoor adventures encourage creativity, problem-solving, and confidence–all while having fun with friends.

Reveal your inner artist by joining one or more of these ceramic workshops. Each workshop you will create a ceramic piece on bisque using various techniques and glaze products. Basic instructions will guide you through the project with options on each project. Using your vision and creativity you will customize your design and make it your own. Each workshop piece will be ready for firing that day. The piece will be ready for pickup in approximately a week. Fee will include bisque, color, instructions and firing.
