Soon 2B3 Program
Children 2 1/2 – 3 years old have their first positive experiences in a preschool classroom and become comfortable separating from parents for a regular period of time. Development of social skills, large and small motor skills, and basic curriculum concepts are a part of your child’s day. Diapers and pull-ups are acceptable to begin with, but children should be on his or her way to taking care of their own toileting needs. This class runs 2 days per week.

4 Year Old Program
In this program, 4 year olds strengthen relationships with friends and teachers and begin to understand responsibility as they become more self-sufficient. The curriculum focuses on emerging literacy, math, science, creative art and fine motor skills to prepare children for Kindergarten. The 4 days a week program is designed for children who are ready for additional time in the classroom. The 4th day includes additional in-depth exposure to pre-literacy, math, self-expression skills and class projects. These classes run 2 or 3 or 4 days per week.

This class provides your child with opportunities to practice writing, using scissors, walking in a line, and sitting for group time. In addition, social skills such as listening and following instructions will be given priority to help children transition easily into the upcoming school year.

Little Learners classes provide children with opportunities to socialize, overcome separation anxiety, and be creative, all while enjoying their first classroom experience. Time together includes play time, clean-up, and group time. Children will interact with Age-appropriate toys, have sensory encounters, create both process and product-based art, and participate in music/movement activities. The curriculum is planned using the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Ages Three.

PARENT NOTES:
• Play can be messy, please dress your child in play clothes.
• Children do not have to be toilet trained for these classes.
• We request that you remain in the building during these classes.
• Little Learners 1 is with adult. Little Learners 2 is a transitional class, allowing for adult participation if needed. Little Learners 3 is child only. It is recommended that classes be taken in order, but children can be enrolled at any level that fits their Ages.
• All classes can be taken multiple times.
