Programs

This class provides your child with opportunities to practice writing with pencils, using scissors, walking in a line, and sitting for a group time. In addition, social skills such as listening and following instructions will be given priority to help children transition easily into the upcoming school year. Looking for a longer class time, consider registering your child for Lunch Bunch.

Science begins with the question “Why?” and children for this age group love to ask it. Help your child find the “Why?” in this class filled with fun, toddler-appropriate science activities. Siblings under the Ages of 18 months are allowed in strollers. This class runs simultaneously with Summer Science for children ages 3-5.

Your child will enjoy this class involving experiments and investigations from the summertime world. Classes start indoors but because some experiments will bubble, fizz or pop we will be spending time outdoors. Please have your child dress for the weather. This class runs simultaneously with Summer Science for Little Ones for children ages 18 months to 2 years with adult.

Age 16 months-3 years
Little Learners classes provide children with opportunities to socialize, overcome separation anxiety, and be creative, all while enjoying their first classroom experience. Time together includes play time, clean-up, and group time. Children will interact with Ages-appropriate toys, have sensory encounters, create both process and product-based art, and participate in music/movement activities. The curriculum is planned using the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Ages Three.

PARENT NOTES:
• Play can be messy, please dress your child in play clothes.
• Children do not have to be toilet trained for these classes.
• We request that you remain in the building during these classes.
• Little Learners 1 is with adult. Little Learners 2 is a transitional class, allowing for adult participation if needed. Little Learners 3 is child only. It is recommended that classes be taken in order, but children can be enrolled at any level that fits their Ages.
• All classes can be taken multiple times.
