It is close to that time already for you to enroll your little one in the 2025-2026 preschool year. At Bolingbrook Park District, we want you to feel comfortable with this very important decision. Take a tour of one of our preschool classrooms and meet the supervisory staff of the program you’re sure to love. This informational meeting is intended for parents only. Please make additional arrangements for your children as this meeting is an overview of the curriculum and additional information for parents. (This program is geared to families who have not participated in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool Program for the current school year.)

215101 / Preschool Camp

Preschool Camp is a great way to add structure to your child’s summer. This program encourages development of math, science, art and reading concepts through indoor and outdoor explorations. Children will discover the outdoors using all of their senses. Children will take a field trip to Parkie’s Oasis each Friday. Each week has a different theme, so feel free to sign up for more than one week. Children must be toilet trained for this camp and ePACT must be completed by Noon Thursday prior to first day of Camp.

Child development experts have determined that children who have memorized at least 8 nursery rhymes by the time they’re 4 are usually among the best readers and spellers in their class when they reach the third grade. Each week we will explore a nursery rhyme with fun, hands-on activities. Children in this class will work toward boosting their memory skills and phonological awareness. Activities will include using a pencil and scissors. A small snack will be provided. If your child already attends morning Preschool, they will be escorted to the teacher for this program. Number sense is the ability to understand and work with numbers. This critical skill is the foundation for more complex math skills. This class will use a variety of activities to help students develop an understanding of numbers 1 through 10. Students in this class will work toward understanding quantities, understanding number symbols, understanding number order and more. A small snack will be provided. Workout worry-free while we care for your kids. Children will have fun hanging out in our classroom filled with toys, games, and craft activities while you sweat it out in the fitness center.
*Children must be registered for a session, we don’t have accommodations for drop-ins.
*Children can be dropped off and picked up anytime during their scheduled hour.
*Children can bring their own electronic device as long as it is charged and has only age-appropriate games and activities.
*Except for labeled water bottles, no food or drink is permitted.
*Parents must remain inside the facility while their child is in the Kids Hangout.
*Children must be picked up by the same parent who dropped them off.
*Children must be toilet trained to attend.

Extend your child’s preschool day. Children will enjoy lunch with their friends while learning how to be comfortable eating in a group setting. Children do not have to be enrolled in our preschool program to participate in Lunch Bunch. Children enrolled in morning or afternoon preschool at the BRAC will be escorted to or from preschool or Lunch Bunch. Enrollment for Lunch Bunch is required. Children must be dropped off inside facility if attending preschool in the afternoon or pick-up inside facility if attended morning preschool. There is no curbside pick-up or drop off for this program.
PARENT NOTES:
Children should bring lunch and a drink in an insulated lunch box or bag.
Label your child’s lunch and include any utensils or napkins that your child may need.
Please do not send food that contain nuts of any kind.
Please send foods that your child can open independently.
Carbonated drinks or fast-food lunches are not appropriate for this program.

Children are born ready to learn, and their brains develop more in the first five years than at any other time in their lives. Whether or not children are already in a preschool program, participating in multiple learning experiences better prepares them for kindergarten and beyond. These enrichment classes feature subjects that engage children and offer opportunities for social, physical and intellectual growth. Regardless of the subject, all enrichment classes include practice with reading, scissors and pencils.
