Class includes a thorough warm up, proper stretching, and the continuous development of the basics of ballet. There is no pre-requisite for this class.

This fun and upbeat class inspires creativity and teaches the fundamentals of hip hop. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This class is an excellent way for children to be introduced to the many benefits of the performing arts.

Our littlest dancers will have a blast dancing to some of Broadway’s smash hits. The use of props will aid them in gaining coordination and developing motor skills.

Children along with their parents are introduced to the world of dance and movement through activities that encourage expression, music appreciation, and creative fun. Our instructors will guide you step by step through this process while you enjoy dancing with your child and creating a special bond!

Bend, stretch, point and flex. The grace of ballet and flexibility of tumbling come together in this class. Basic skills will be taught in a fun and interactive environment. Props will also be used to engage the children in the learning process.

This class is perfect for the beginner for exploring different dance disciplines and learning basic techniques.

This class serves as an introduction to hip hop dance for our younger dancers. Using games and music, the class focuses on rhythm, musicality, creativity, coordination, body awareness, and basic hip hop technique. It is a great way to get kids moving and introduce them to the many benefits of the performing arts!

Enrich your child’s creativity, movement, coordination and confidence. This beginning dance class will introduce and reinforce the basic fundamentals of dance all while having fun.

Develop poise, grace, and confidence! Level I will introduce and reinforce the basic fundamentals of Ballet. Advancement to higher levels of training will require teacher recommendation and are based upon the mastering the skills necessary to advance. Staying consistent in training throughout the year is the key to moving up through the levels.

Hip Hop dance incorporates a variety of old and new urban, street, and pop dance styles. This dance style represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of the music. This class is a fun, fast paced and high energy class that focuses on rhythmic dancing, cardio, and may include floor work. Hip hop dance is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance, and coordination.

Ballet and jazz come to life in this expressive style. Lyrical is diverse, ranging from fluent, balletic movements to stylized jazz.
*previous ballet, jazz or lyrical dance experience recommended.

Move through basic tap techniques and exercises while developing coordination and rhythm..
Previous tap experience recommended.

This is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. Classes incorporate the style of dance one would typically see on a Broadway stage. This form of dancing emphasizes learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and facial expressions.

This class is an excellent introduction to many different styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Students will gain a foundation and exposure to various styles of dance, keeping them excited, interested, and focused.

Leaps and Turns is a technique based class, where dancers will work towards perfecting different leaps, jumps, and turn combinations. Dancers will also work on proper alignment, strength and flexibility.

Throughout this one week, half day, camp campers will learn basic dance technique, play games, and make crafts related to the theme for the week. Campers will receive a Dance Camp t-shirt also learn a dance combination. On Fridays, campers will get to spend the day swimming at Pelican Harbor (weather permitting).
If campers are also enrolled in Camp Alotta Fun they will be walked over following dance camp unless it is a field trip day.

It’s never too late to learn to be graceful. Improve your flexibility, poise and posture. Relieve stress, burn calories and have fun at the same time through this peaceful and relaxing dance style. Beginning and continuing levels of dance will be taught during this class and will include a technical warm up, barre work and center work with combinations, all specific and appropriate to the level of training.

In five week sessions, learn and practice the basic techniques of one of the most popular dances, Chicago-Style Stepping. Basic steps. combinations, floor etiquette, turns and partnering will be covered in this 2-hour class

Are you ready to take the next step in your ballet training? In Pre-Pointe you will do exercises and training to prepare yourself to go onto pointe.

Previous ballet experience and enrollment in our Adult Ballet class is required to participate in this class.

Become more limber as your body develops the tools that is needed to become a stronger you. This class is a great way to correctly learn how to safely become limber. Learn to relax, breathe correctly, and enjoy your time in class. In this one hour of active stretching you will burn between 240-356 calories. You will go through a series of floor and dance barre stretches to assist you in reaching any goals you may have.
Attire: Comfortable workout clothing, gym shoes, and please bring a yoga mat
