Preschool Extended Day
Ages 3.5-5 years
Does your child need more preschool time? Extended your child’s day with these programs. Children who fit the age range can participate in multiple programs on the same day. Breakfast Buddies, Lunch Bunch and Lunch Bunch Plus are exclusively for children enrolled in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool Program and sessions follow the Preschool 2025-2026 School Calendar.
Parent Notes:
* Children should bring food or snack items and water bottle in an insulated lunch box or bag. Label your child’s food containers and include any utensils or napkins that your child may need. Please send foods that your child can open independently.
* Please do not send food that contains nuts of any kind.
* Carbonated drinks or fast-food meals are not appropriate for this program.
* There is no curbside pick-up or drop-off for these programs.
* Children enrolled in Breakfast Buddies should be brought into the building and dropped off to the Breakfast Buddies teacher between 8:15 am and 8:45 am.
* Only children enrolled in morning Preschool can participate in Breakfast Buddies.
* Children enrolled in Lunch Bunch or Lunch Bunch Plus will be escorted from their morning preschool classroom to the Lunch Bunch room. Children should be picked up from this room at the end of the program by an approved pick-up person.
* Children enrolled in afternoon preschool will be escorted to their classroom by the Lunch Bunch teacher.
* Children must be registered for each session separately. This is not a drop-in program.
* Children enrolled in Lunch Bunch Plus will eat lunch with friends and then have extra learning time with activities in various subjects.

Chess Scholars is our fun-filled professional chess program for children in grades K-8. We work with students of all levels, including complete beginners. During each one-hour class, there is an interactive instructional period of 15-20 minutes, followed by guided practice. Curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of young learners, helping students improve their focus, critical thinking, problem-solving and strategic planning-all while having fun. Extend your child’s preschool day. Children will enjoy lunch with their friends while learning how to be comfortable eating in a group setting. Children do not have to be enrolled in our preschool program to participate in Lunch Bunch. Children enrolled in morning or afternoon preschool at the BRAC will be escorted to or from preschool or Lunch Bunch. Enrollment for Lunch Bunch is required. Children must be dropped off inside facility if attending preschool in the afternoon or pick-up inside facility if attended morning preschool. There is no curbside pick-up or drop off for this program.
