This new class is for adults who want to try something new or former gymnasts who want to challenge themselves. Improve your strength, flexibility, body awareness and master some fundamental gymnastics tumbling skills.
Bolingbrook Park Districts’s successful and popular gymnastics program allows kids to begin as early as 18 months old and be introduced to this exciting and energetic sport that develops confidence, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. Gymnasts ages 6-14 years, can become part of the Bolingbrook Illusions Gymnastics Team, that competes in Amateur Athlete Union (AAU) certified events January through May.
The gymnastics department also offers programs specifically for cheer. Tumbling and stunting is a key component for cheerleading. Our team of instructors is here to help develop your child’s cheer skills.
A leotard or comfortable pants or shorts are appropriate for classes. No jeans, jean shorts or any other type of clothing with buttons or buckles allowed. These can be harmful to your child or the equipment. Bolingbrook Park District does have leotards available for purchase. Leotards may be purchased at the Annerino Community Center during class times.

This class will be a transition from the developmental program to team. The gymnasts will work on AAU level 1 and 2 skills as well as developing strength, flexibility and a strong focus on team spirit and sportsmanship. Invitation to Pre-Team is required.
The Bolingbrook Illusions is an award-winning team that competes against other teams in the Midwest. We offer level 2-5 compulsory gymnastics and all levels of Xcel. These teams will follow routines and progressions for vault, uneven bars, beam and floor created by USAG. Competition takes place from January through May as part of the AAU; Gymnastics of Illinois Junior Organization (GIJO). It is a great way to prepare your child for high school gymnastics within the park district or at their high school. Testing is done late Spring and Early Fall and is required in order to enroll as a new member of the team.
Parents are required to attend our annual mandatory meeting. Team leotards, warm ups, grips, meet fees and tape are additional fees beyond class registration.
