Everyone has a “Day One.” It could be for starting a new diet or workout routine, it could be the first day at a new job, anything. It is exciting because it’s a fresh start and a beginning to a new journey with the end result being unknown. Bolingbrook Park District offers numerous opportunities for toddlers, youth and adults to learn a new sport.
Our new youth sports program at Bolingbrook Park District is taking that exact approach.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of basketball through drills and mini-games including dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, offensive and defensive positioning, sportsmanship & fun!
Participants will learn the fundamentals of soccer through drills and mini-games including: dribbling, shooting, passing, rules of soccer, sportsmanship & fun!
Learn the basics of soccer, t-ball, basketball, football, floor hockey, and more. Each class is different and will emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship & fun! Parent participation required for ages 2-3.

Participants will learn the game of soccer through drills and mini-games including dribbling, trapping, throw ins, shooting, passing, positioning, rules of soccer, sportsmanship & fun!
Want to learn the basics and fundamentals of volleyball beyond just gym volleyball? Join us as we teach the “fun”damentals and foundation of being a future volleyball player. If you are in elementary or middle school and want to learn from some of the best coaches, join us, as we make learning fun! This
activity meets Sundays 2:30-3:30 pm and Thursdays 4:00-5:00 pm.
Please note that if you are registering for code 200513 A01 Sundays and Thursdays, Sundays meet at 2:30 pm not 4:00 pm
Have the basic of volleyball down and need some additional coaching and training to accelerate your skills for school or club? Hit harder, set better, jump higher, pass and serve more consistently, block more efficiently by learning advanced strategies of the game. Thursday sessions focus on skills and training and Sunday sessions focus on game scenarios
This activity meets Thursdays 4:45-6:15pm.
The Pickleball for Beginners class is for anyone who has never played or has limited experience. This class will focus on the fundamentals of the sport by teaching forehand and backhand shots, serving and court positioning. Players will learn the basics of scoring and rules throughout the duration of this class. Skill Levels 0.0 – 2.0 are welcomed to participate.
The Intermediate Pickleball class is for players who have experience and are looking to enhance their skills in a faster pace environment. This class is designed to help improve skills through challenging drills, players will work on consistency in forehand and backhand shots, serving, volleying, dinks and lobs. Skill Levels 2.5 – 3.5 are welcomed to participate.
The Advanced Pickleball Class is for players who are looking to learn more advanced skills and strategies such as 3rd drop shots and more! Skill Levels 4.0+ are welcomed to participate.
This introductory league will teach the fundamentals and skills of basketball. Players will learn how to play in a team environment. The first three weeks will consist of practice every Sunday, then one game on Sundays. Games will be on Sundays beginning February 19. Game times will be Sundays between 1-5pm. Ages 5-6 will play on an 8ft hoop with a size 26.5 ball and ages 7-8 will play on a 9ft hoop with a size 27.5 ball. Practices will be Sundays between 1pm-5pm. All players will be placed on teams by January 19. Team jerseys will be provided.
