Does your child love to act, sing and dance? Then this is the class to sign up for. Your child will discover the possibilities using their skills and imagination. They will rehearse and perform a monologue, scene and a musical theatre number in the last class. They will explore characters, theater vocabulary, voice, and movement. This is a great class for the beginning actors as well as the experienced actors who want to build performance skills and confidence on stage. Come see what BPD theatre company is all about!
A final performance will be held on August 5th.

This class combines imaginative play, singing, acting, and movement to introduce and establish the building blocks of the performing arts, foster creativity, and nurture self-esteem. Through songs, musical theatre games, stories and dance, these budding performers learn in a playful and creative environment. Through positive and imaginative class experiences, these young performers develop confidence in singing, acting and dancing, strengthen their skills and have fun!

In this class, students will gain confidence and develop theatre skills. Students will learn a broad range of Theatre skills including acting, singing, improv and character development in this 10 week class. Students will have a chance to connect, socialize and create with others as they explore and learn about Theatre.

Does your child love to perform? This is the class to sign up for! Actors will rehearse and perform their own production of Alice in Christmas Land. They will explore characters, theater vocabulary, voice and movement. This is a great class for the beginning actors as well as the experienced actors who want to build performance skills and confidence on stage. Actors will receive a script and show t-shirt included in registration costs. Come see what the BPD Theater Company is all about!
Show Summary: Everyone is getting ready for Christmas; the Mad Hatter has a silly tree decorating party and the Cheshire Cat can’t understand why her stripes are green and red. Without an ounce of holiday spirit, the Queen of Hearts says: “Off with their heads!” But Alice knows the heart is most important symbol of all. And what is Christmas and Holiday spirit all about anyway? Love and kindness. At last, Alice convinces the Queen that if she uses her heart, she will be the greatest Queen of all!
*Auditions will take place in class on September 10. Audition materials will be emailed out to participants 1 week prior to the first class.
*Dress Rehearsals will take place December 14-18 and Performances will occur December 18-20
