Nestled along the Fox River, Batavia offers the opportunity to enjoy food, spirits and entertainment is a cozy riverside area. Park District staff transport you to four of Batavia’s local pubs for a fun evening. The district will provide bus snacks for the ride home.

Ages 14+
Experience the Lincoln Park Zoo without the hassle of navigating and parking in the city! Penguin Encounters last 60 minutes-approximately 15 minutes outside the habitat, 20 minutes in a behind-the-scenes area, and 20 minutes inside the habitat with the penguins. The Penguin Encounter is optional, minors must have an adult guardian at all times during this trip. All purchases, including food, are on your own. Picnic lunches are welcome and may be stored safely on the bus.

Enjoy live jazz, cool drinks and a relaxed visit with 32,000 animals. Take in the Chicago skyline while listening to some of our area’s top jazz musicians. It’s the perfect way to savor the summer! As the sun goes down, we will enjoy the Navy Pier fireworks. Registration includes transportation, admission to the outdoor event, available indoor exhibits, and bus snacks. Walking amount is dependent upon how many exhibits you visit.

Experience the Chicago Air & Water Preview Day from beautiful Lake Michigan aboard the
Spirit of Chicago. Registration includes transportation, a two-hour cruise, and a delicious
brunch buffet. Enjoy the best views of the show preview and Chicago skyline from your cabin
seat or from the ship’s deck. Please note, there is a short staircase to access the upper deck.
