Lily Cache Greenway Trail

Lily Cache Greenway (east of Weber Road) Linear - 1 mile - 10 ft wide, paved - Bicycling, Hiking, Running, Cross Country Skiing, Rollerblading

This mile long linear path was completed in the fall of 2000. It meanders from the intersection of Orchard Lane and Lily Cache by Independence School southwesterly along the Lily Cache Creek to Naperville Road where a turnaround directs users back to the point of origin. The path bridges the Lily Cache Creek providing access to Jane Adams Middle School. The trail experience is one of wildlife and prairie.

Lily Cache Greenway (west of Weber Road) Linear - 1 mile from Weber Road west to its terminus, 3/4 mile through Prairie Trails into Plainfield - 10ft wide, paved - Bicycling, Hiking, Running, Cross Country Skiing, Rollerblading

Plans are to cross Weber Road at the Hassert Boulevard traffic light to link the east and west sections into a unified long distance trail.

West of Weber Road the Lily Cache Greenway continues to straddle the creek, but also loops through the new Lily Cache Sports Fields on Hassert Boulevard. Trail users have access from the Lakewood and Maplebrook subdivisions as well as the Sports Complex where abundant parking is available.

There is a two mile gap before the path starts up again at Prairie Trails Park in Bolingbrook's southwestern most subdivision Foxridge Farms. There it leads to the Bolingbrook-Plainfield border where it links to the Plainfield Park District pathway system.
